Avec sa “Symphonie Déjouée“, le guitariste, organiste et compositeur Bernard Struber nous plonge dans une évocation de ses maîtres d’écriture : Ligeti, Berio, Messiaen… Mais avec toute l’irrévérence et l’ouverture d’esprit d’un Frank Zappa, dont il reste l’un des plus passionnants héritiers. Avec le génie américain, ils partagent l’humour et une virtuosité singulière, associés à une envie permanente de déjouer les codes ! Cette Symphonie est une succession de trois mouvements, basés chacun sur un élément très simple comme un intervalle de tierce mineure, une pulsation irrégulière, une mélodie traditionnelle. Avec les neuf fines gâchettes du Jazztett, augmenté pour l’occasion d’une chanteuse lyrique, tous les risques sont à prendre, toutes les audaces permises !


With his "Symphonie Déjouée", the guitarist, organist and composer Bernard Struber plunges us into an evocation of his masters of writing: Ligeti, Berio, Messiaen ... But with all the irreverence and open-mindedness of a Frank Zappa, of which he remains one of the most fascinating heirs. With the American genius, they share the humor and a singular virtuosity, associated with a permanent desire to foil the codes! This Symphony is a succession of three movements, based on a very simple element like an interval of minor third, an irregular pulsation, a traditional melody. With the nine Jazztett virtuosos, increased for the occasion of a lyrical singer, all the risks are to be taken, all daring allowed!
